MAPPING THE HEAT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

CONTEXT

Our task was to create a cohesive visual language for Nike’s promotional campaigns which take place throughout the year on a global scale..

It needed to be flexible and distinctive — a design system reflecting their newly elevated global direction which would be instantly recognisable across all physical and digital touchpoints.

CREATIVE

We created an emotive, abstract design system based on the concept of seasonal temperature and heat mapping, referencing both calendar moments and Nike’s performance-based offering. It morphs throughout the year, giving promo campaigns seasonal specificity and visual consistency.

The dynamic movement in sport is reflected by varied heat levels, the unique system can be applied to film or static visuals, online or in-store. A visually rich textured canvas accompanied by a direct tone of voice.

RESULTS

The toolkit encompasses everything needed for a successful promo campaign, including creative direction, iconography, storytelling along with film, motion and tone of voice guidance.

Created to live online and in-store throughout the year, from Valentine’s Day to back-to-school, across seasonal activations and 365 promos.
